DEAR EVERYONE! What are we going to do?

Dear Everyone. What do you Celebrate? No matter what religion, race, mythology, or fandom you call your own we all Celebrate something. However for the past couple years I have noticed we are starting to celebrate death. Not in the -lets have a party for the reaper- way, but with all this talk of the world ending, all the new apocalypse movies and shows, and the general concern we are going to be dead in a couple days. Now I don't know if you believe in all this or not, but I have a feeling we all will be waking up on the twenty second feeling a bit silly for all the hype.

However, my friends, When you wake up on the twenty second I want you to forget everything else you believe in for that day. Forget your less virtuous wants and need and every material possession you hold dear and, celebrate life. Look at every living thing and be happy it is still there. Look at yourself, your family, your friends, your neighbors, your beloved animal companions, and every stranger still up and about. Celebrate their continued existence, and the next time someone tells you we are all going to die, give them a pat on the head followed by a cookie then disregard their claims.

Okay? Try making the celebration of life a new end of the year tradition while you're at it.
